Over half of family physicians (FP) report burnout and plan to leave the specialty (1). Solutions to occupational distress are more acceptable when they centre on cultivating well-being rather than reducing burnout (10). One call to action from the WHO includes rediscovering meaning and purpose rooted in Narrative-Based Medicine (NBM) principles
(11–14). However, there are misunderstandings about NBM, despite the extensive literature demonstrating its benefits. We designed an innovative curriculum to address this long-standing issue. Our aim is to understand the factors influencing the acceptability of NBM FD through program evaluation and mixed methods research.
